The Evolution OF Barbecue - Food Photography Cary

We were really pleased to be asked to photograph the menu items for Smithfield's Chicken 'N Barbecue. One of their many offerings is a whole shoulder of Pork which they will cook for you and you can pick it up take it home and break it up. So we decided to do a photo as soon as it came out from being cooked. We worked on this Project with French West & Vaughan PR Agency and food stylist Teresa Chelko. As well as shooting the whole shoulder we decided it would be a good idea to show visitors to their website what goes into the fantastic barbecue that is sold in their restaurants. Hence we came up with the idea of showing the finished barbecue and all the elements made to produce it.

I was recently asked to photograph a Walgreen's store that had just opened outside Raleigh. As well as the usual daytime photos i thought it would be interesting to shoot one or two at dusk. Below is the shot that I ended up with and which the client really enjoyed.

We've been really ramping up our editorial photography lately and are being featured in many publications. One of our favorites is Attorney At Law in which so many of our law clients are featured. We were once again asked to photograph the cover shot along with a number of spreads in the magazine. This cover features Joseph Cheshire a most eminent member of the North Carolina legal community.

We were really pleased to once again photograph the front cover of Attorney At Law magazine. This time it was a photo of Wade Smith. We had a great time  doing this photo shoot. Considering he is real heavy weight in the legal world you wouldn't think it talking to him.

He has so many stories to tell and kept us so amused during the hour that we had with him.

People like wade make our job run really smoothly.

UNC Food Photography Chapel Hill

Who said hospital food is boring and tasteless? Last week I was asked to shoot some food for the new menu's that will be offered to patients and visitors at Chapel hill's UNC Children's Hospital. We had a great time working with Chef Shawn Dolan and his team.

The hospital has many different restaurants (i think Chef said 17) offering anything from Burger's, Breakfast, Southern Food, Asian food, Sushi and much more.

Who would have thought that a hospital restaurant would have been serving up such delicious treats as General Tso's Chicken and Fish en Papillote!

We are going back there again this week to continue the photography, this time shooting the menu which has been specifically designed for children.
