Halfway through a big shoot this week for Paragon. First leg was in Raleigh, now off to Charlotte to continue. Love working with Ad Agencies and Art Directors, we made a good team and got some great photos even faced with some real challenges. Her are some behind the scenes shots of the Raleigh commercial photography shoot.
As I have often written, one of my favorite things to photograph is food. So I was really excited when one of my favorite restaurants asked me to come in and photograph their food.
"An", which means "to dine" in Vietnamese, is an amazing restaurant. The restaurant showcases the flavors of Asian food with those of modern European. The Culinary Director is Steven Deveraux Greene who is also the Executive Chef of the AA "Five Diamond" award winning restaurant Heron's, at The Umstead Hotel and Spa - another of my favorites. Chef de Cuisine at An restaurant is Joshua Hughes and he and Steven have worked together for ten years.
For this photo shoot we really wanted to highlight the produce which is all sourced locally- some of which is actually grown on their own farm. Hope you enjoy the photos:
Had fun the other night driving around Hasentree photographing Xmas lights for a lighting installation company. Some of these people go all out. It was pretty cool to see how great the sky looked in long exposure HDR. Here are some of the images.
A few weeks ago we were asked to do a photo shoot for a new clothing company called "Press Play Couture". Having finished a product shoot for their new catalog a few weeks earlier it was time to put the clothing on some real people. We decided to use The Cotton Room in Durham for the shoot as this would give the exact "Vibe" that our client was looking for. So we headed over there with three models and spent the morning photographing the company's tee shirts. We were really pleased to be asked by Dr. Dubroy, the new President of Shaw University, to photograph the Millennial Leadership team.
Dr Dubroy herself, is a graduate of Shaw University so the photograph we were to take had to reflect the Raleigh roots of the University.
We chose to photograph the team against the backdrop of the growing Raleigh skyline.
The team was a lot of fun to work with and everyone was happy with the outcome.
